There are numerous researches claiming that sedentary lifestyle is an illness that is slowly killing our entire species. This being said, it was about time that someone devised a solution to this grave issue. The salvation lies in the idea of standing desks. Not only are these revolutionary workstations simply
great for one’s health but for ones productivity as well.

Naturally, nobody expects people to stand for 8 hours straight. An office equipped with these desks always comes with comfy resting area (usually with cozy sofas or lazy bags) as well. According to numerous experts, a perfectly balanced time ratio would be for one to work 23 minutes and then rest for 7. Many assume that it is this kind of scheduling that gives optimal work results.

The most important thing is that your office looks as a single entity. With this in mind, you need to balance between two things. These separate office workstations need to be able to function as individual units, but at the same time they must all be part of one greater whole. One of the most effective ways to manage doing this is by leaving open shelves. Sure, you will most commonly rely on these shelves when it comes to storage, but by going for the open ones, you will finally manage to break all barriers in your office, making it seem friendlier and warmer.

Presentable Reception Area

One thing is certain, you can never get a second chance to make good first impression. While at this topic, the first thing one will encounter once he or she steps into your office will be the reception area. It is of vital significance that it is always presentable. With this in mind, choose only the best, most quality design for reception desk and try to create as optimistic and inviting setting as you possibly can. Even though this may not have anything to do with design, the choice of receptionist is equally if not more important.

Not only do adequate application increase productiveness in the workplace, but they make all this work a lot more enjoyable. A perfect example of this is F.lux application which adjusts the brightness of your screen to the time of day, making long hours of staring at screen less harmful for your sight. Of course, you can also do a lot by installing various calendar and application software as well.

As you can see, each and every one of these trends is directed towards the improvement of quality of either work or productivity. There are many other ways in which one can manipulate their workspace to work for them and these options are always more than worth exploring.
