I managed to find my very first customer, I made a $600 sale. I did my best and told the customer exactly what I had been told about the product.
Turns out the customer misused the product and demanded a refund!
My first customer and they wanted a total refund!
Not only was the customer a friend, but I worked for him on a project.
I didn't think I was going to be able to come up with the funds on such short notice.
I was told he was not eligible for a refund, and he got very mad.
He threatened to take me to consumer affairs!
I had not been prepared for this in the training I had been given. I did not want to destroy a good friendship and work relation.
Anyway, I got the funds (my rent money) and all is now well.
How I will pay the rent depends on my next business decision.
