Sourcing Suppliers for Small Business
If you've just started a small business selling goods, the choice of suppliers is imperative to your success. Thorough research needs to be undertaken when selecting suppliers.
These days many suppliers are listed online, you can visit their website and get as much detail as needed to make an informed decision.
But the smaller supplier, who is often the better choice, will not be found online and must be sourced elsewhere. Sourcing these unlisted suppliers is best done locally.
Visiting suppliers and looking for listings in the yellow pages, or just visiting local shops and enquiring about their suppliers can be valuable research.
As a small business owner of an online eBay store: Meta Wild, I have researched suppliers of niche goods such as crystals and jewellery from both online and in store suppliers, with great success.
The online wholesaler is the easier option for the time poor business owner, but not always the best one.
