If you’re looking for the perfect venue to hold business events and conferences, there are a few things you will need to consider before choosing the right one. There are a list of necessities the venue must tick off before you book. The venue should have ample amount of standing and seating space, catering facilities and amenities to ensure the event runs smoothly. It should also have the perfect balance between business and recreational facilities, or at least be close by to restaurants, bars and hotels. Read on to learn of some of the top conference venues across Australia.

Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort & Spa, Victoria
Balgownie Estate is one of the best venues in Victoria. Equipped with an up to date, technologic conference centre and executive boardrooms, it ticks all the boxes for business. Plus, on top of this it is located amongst the stunning vineyards, boasting rooms with views, sun and even an endless list of team building activities to enjoy in any spare time.

International Convention Centre Sydney, NSW
Newly renovated, located in the heart of Sydney’s Darling Harbour lies the impressive International Convention Centre. Known as Australia’s premiere MICE venue, the ICC Sydney is close to the airport, within walking distance to more than 33,000 hotel rooms, able to seat 2,000 delegates and self sufficient to host 3 events at one time. Some of the key benefits of hosting an event at the ICC include a range of options to host between 750 to 8,000 people, an outdoor area for networking, prime waterfront location and the world’s best-practice technologies throughout the venue. The ICC has everything you need to run a smooth in Sydney.

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, QLD
This venue can hold a huge audience! The Brisbane centre’s 44 spaces can hold up to 8,000 delegates and five simultaneously running conferences, along with a number of small events off to the side at their extension on Grey Street. It has won 160 awards, including the AIPC Apex Award in 2016 for the highest client rating. It also prides itself on being a highly green and sustainable venue, using only recycled water, sensor escalators and waste dehydration.

Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, WA
Australia’s first purpose built conference centre was this Perth venue. Holding a capacity of 2,500 seated delegates in an auditorium with a total of 19 meeting rooms, it served as a popular spot for companies to host business conferences and events. However, with a much smaller capacity than its competitors in other parts of the country, the WA tourism council decided in 2016 that it was time for the venue to be upgraded to fit more people. Once this upgrade is complete, this venue is projected to seat up to 60% more people, making it a strong contender to compete against the likes of the ICC.
